By creating an account or using SnapTax (snaptax.au) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

SnapTax lets you capture receipts, extract details with AI, import bank statements, estimate GST and prepare records for BAS and tax time. Features may change as we improve the product.

Not tax advice

SnapTax is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide tax, legal, BAS or accounting advice, and AI-extracted figures may contain errors. You are responsible for checking your records and lodgements. Please confirm figures with your accountant or registered tax agent.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for anyone you invite to your profiles.
• You must be at least 18, or using SnapTax on behalf of a business you're authorised to act for.

Your content

You own the receipts, documents and data you upload. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service. You must have the right to upload anything you add, including emails imported from connected accounts.

Connected services

If you connect third-party services such as Gmail, their own terms also apply. You can disconnect them at any time. Our handling of Google data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful activity, fraudulent records, attempts to access other users' data, or interference with the platform.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, SnapTax is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect losses, penalties or interest arising from your tax lodgements. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Ending your account

You may stop using SnapTax and request deletion at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms and will notify you of significant changes. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
